Dice
In every generation there comes along an artist or two that set themselves apart from their 
peers by consistently delivering top quality performances year after year. In the 60s there was The Idol, in the 70s there was Solo, in the 80s De Ency; the 90s Hunter maybe? The turn of the millenium brought us King Dice. Clearly one of the top calypso artists we have seen in action in Dominica for a long time having equalled the record of Solo and Idol by winning three consecutive Calypso titles and being one of only three artists to have won four titles. And he’s not done yet.
Born Dennison Ikes Joseph in Delices; sang RnB and reggae with Klockerz Crew in the 90s; won the Junior Monarch Calypso conpetition in 1999; won Mr. St. Mary’s Academy show in 1999; joined the Bouyon pioneers WCK as a lead vocalist in 1996.
Dice as he is known first participated in the Carnival Calypso competition in 2002 getting as far as the quarter-final show; first made it to the Final show in 2003 placing 3rd; won his first calypso crown in 2003 performing the songs “Minding My Business” and ” Animal Farm”; successfully defended his calypso title in 2004 and 2005 and becoming the youngest to win three consecutive crowns; became a member of the Elite Tri-Peat Club; released first CD compilation of 13 songs in 2006;
