Born Norman Cyrille; started writing songs as early as age eleven years; first competed in 1978 on a bet with his friends that he could enter the contest and make it to the finals; later chickened out and was forcibly registered by his friends; has had one of the most successful careers in Dominica Calypso history spanning more than a decade and winning four times; has written over one hundred and fifty songs; has written and composed for other artists;
