It’s a wrap! Here’s the final nine to challenge Karessah on February 13th. Soul Puss, Checker, Sye, Daddy Chess, Observer, Tasha P, Explosion, Bobb and Lady Star. There are four first time finalists. Congratulations to them. As for my picks, six out of nine is not bad. I still feel that Beno should be a finalist. Good show by all. We look forward to a great Calypso Finals Show.

Many calypso fans are of the opinion that for kaiso 2010 former calypso king Dice was not given a fair shake. They’re saying that because he is a former king he should not have to enter this year’s competition from the Elimination show. There are arguments for and against this. Read full article Following a lengthy contest at the Krazy Coconuts on Sunday 20th December the following twelve artists made it through to the quarter final show. They are Tasha P, Beno, Yakima, Daddy Chess, Judgment, Soul Puss, Explosion, The Bobb, Mighty Logars, Prosper, Ghetto Prince and Triump. On reserve is former Junior Monarch Dutchess. Top artists Daddy Chess and Bobb had to participate in the elimination show because they did not compete last year. Daddy Chess was in Trinidad participating in the Soca Monarch and Groovy Soca contests. |
